In this episode of Y's Guys, we recap BYU’s thrilling 38-35 come-from-behind win over Oklahoma State, where Darius Lassiter’s game-winning touchdown with just 10 seconds left sealed the victory. Jake Retzlaff led the offense with 218 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 81 rushing yards, while LJ Martin contributed 120 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. BYU’s resiliency and efficient running game were key in securing the win, moving the Cougars to 7-0 and a No. 11 ranking in the AP Poll.
We also preview BYU’s upcoming game against UCF, breaking down the Knights' strengths, including their potent rushing attack led by RJ Harvey. In addition, special guest Elder Clark Gilbert, Commissioner of Church Education for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joins the show to discuss the future of sports at BYU and the impact of NIL on college athletics.
