There is a concern about an alleged Myiasis disease outbreak linked to maggots. Over the past weekend, Odi District Hospital in Tshwane allegedly treated five patients with suspected Myiasis a condition caused by maggot infestation in through the skin. However only three of the cases were clinically diagnosed with Myiasis. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Dr William Malebati, Manager for Infection Prevention Control at the Gauteng Department of Health
