Dr. Keith Murray

Dr. Murray is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of Tactical EMS at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

Dr. Murray complete this undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada in 1999; completed his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2007; completed an emergency medicine residency also at the University of Chicago in 2010; and then completed a wilderness medicine fellowship in 2011.

In addition to being medical director of tactical EMS, Dr. Murray speaks regularly about the field at grand rounds and in the communities surrounding Pittsburgh. His talks have titles such as “officer down analysis and the four phases of rescue”, “Tactical Hemorrhage Control”, and “IED Recognition and Bomb Blast Injuries”. Moreover, he is the lead instructor the Tactical EMS portion for the University’s EMS fellowship, as well as the Hand to Hand Combatives course for physicians and the ALICE Active Shoot Instructor Certification course.
