Learning to love her life and push for a better path for her own children, Kristan shares her story on how overcoming her past circumstances has led her to grow deeply in her life and her relationships. Kristan’s journey could have led to a much different outcome as her brother and her had to step in to adult shoes at very young ages and fend for themselves and each other, becoming the parents in their household at extremely young ages, and going on to be shuffled from foster care home to home. Her belief in knowing that she wanted something more for her life was her defining motto, even at the earliest of ages.

Kristan lovingly refers to herself as her own role model, a true testament to what she has walked through and the choices she made with the cards that were dealt. Knowing that without the challenges she wouldn’t know the choices she had to make, she leads her beautiful family with pride and a fierce determination to be the best for them. Kristan’s faith and dedication to creating a strong family bond after enduring her early years of trauma and upheaval is inspiring and a beautiful acknowledgment that with faith and belief, you can achieve so much.
