Success without struggle.

I’ve had this tagline for years. I truly believed there was no value in struggle. But words have meaning, and they’re important—they’re not just semantics, which is how I was treating them.

Some time ago, I attended an event hosted by one of my best friends, Laurel Houston, who said something that really stuck with me. She said that struggle is important, but suffering is optional. That’s when I realized I had been equating struggle with suffering when, in fact, they are not the same thing at all.

That’s why today, I’m reevaluating the value of struggle and exploring the difference between struggling and suffering.
