Day 296 | The Lord judges Edom, Elam, & Babylon | 2 Timothy 2: Soldiers for Christ
Manage episode 313143598 series 3115156
Day 296 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. God reveals that various nations, including Ammon, Edom, and Damascus, will face their comeuppance for past misdeeds. Even the mighty Babylon, once God's tool for punishing others, is not exempt and will be shattered. It's a reminder that no nation is beyond the reach of divine justice, and those who oppress will eventually face consequences.
In 2 Timothy 2, Paul dishes out some solid life and ministry advice to Timothy. He tells him to be strong and to pass on the teachings to trustworthy people. Using analogies, Paul highlights the dedication needed in serving God, comparing it to the discipline of soldiers, athletes, and farmers. There's also a heads-up to avoid pointless debates, which only lead to chaos. And, in times of doubt, he reminds Timothy of the solid foundation of God's truth.
