Matthew 5: 38-42 - Do not Retaliate
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.”
Anyone feeling challenged by these teachings of Jesus? So far, we’ve learned murder is no worse than anger which is murder in your heart, lust & pornography is cheating on your spouse as much as adultery, sexual union is to be one flesh with the other and was never meant to be torn apart, don’t ever swear by God’s name - that’s blasphemy, in fact don’t make any vow/oaths, let your word be true, and today don’t take vengeance.
