The murder of 12-year-old Shanda Sharer in 1992 remains one of the most shocking and brutal crimes in Indiana’s history, carried out by four teenage girls driven by jealousy and hatred. They senselessly tortured and killed Shanda, and the aftermath of the case has left many deeply dissatisfied with the justice system.
