Manage episode 437604165 series 3457095
The BeatiDudes proudly present the second of three segments recorded live at their booth during the 10th National Eucharistic Congress.
Luis Gonzales from episodes #075 and #076 pops by the booth to kick off the guest appearances and shares his joy for the Eucharist and his love for serving others.
On Blessed are the Joke Makers with Luis, the Dudes must take on the persona of a magician to address the prompt, “I would _________, for Christmas.”
The TBD Question with Luis and the Dudes – When you are walking around the NEC, which religious order connects with you in an emotional and/or spiritual way?
Next, a young man named Jonathan from Colorado agrees to jump into the guest seat without knowing what he is getting into. He was visiting the Congress with his immediate and extended family. He shared details about his work with robotics, his appreciation for family, and his excitement to hear Chris Stefanick and many others.
What happens next nearly breaks the internet – all seven of Jeff Schiefelbein’s kids jumped on the show to laugh, scream, and serve as extra special guests. Lorelei and Emilia both get to spend some special time as individual guests. Next, with Emilia as the judge, the Dudes play another round of Blessed are the Joke Makers, where they must take on the persona of an extraterrestrial to address the prompt, “The best pilgrimages offer ____ to their pilgrims.”
Following the appearance of her kids, Jeff’s wife Amanda jumps on the show for some quick encouragement and constructive feedback.
Then Tate from Tampa joins the show. He is on a school trip with friends and chaperones and looking to fall more in love with the Eucharist. Tate judges the BeatiDudes on Blessed are the Joke Makers, in which the Dudes must take on the persona of Geekiest Tech Nerd to address the prompt, “Doubting Thomas wished he was known for ______.”
Jose from Indiana and three of his five kids stop by the booth for some authentic fraternity. He reflects on the ways in which we can live our faith in everyday life.
After Jose, the show concludes with Lauren Moore from the Catholic Music Initiative.
