In this episode, the Retro Movie Geek crew is joined by Rick Patterson (find more from Rick here & here), and they’re geeking out over Visiting Hours (1982) and

  • good writing
  • how dark the story is
  • Michael Ironside
  • violence
  • and much, much more!

Synopsis:

An eerie silence blankets the corridors of a major medical center. One woman lies awake in her hospital bed, totally consumed with relentless terror. For within the confines of the seemingly secure hospital stalks a killer… fiercely determined to brutally punish her.

This sets the frightening premise for Visiting Hours, a gripping suspense thriller that explores a whole new dimension in spine-chilling terror.

Lee Grant stars as Deborah Ballin, an outspoken television journalist who is brutally attacked in her home after delivering a scathing editorial on women’s rights. Ballin soon discovers her nightmare is far from over, as her assailant, and would-be-executioner (Michael Ironside) lurks in the darkened corridor waiting for the chance to finish the sinister job he started.
