Ashley Gaertner is a registered nurse at University of California San Diego's Burn Intensive Care Unit. She spent the formative years of her career on night shift at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Emergency Room and Trauma Center, including working as an ER nurse during Covid's peak.
