We are back on Hoops Heaven Basketball Hustle to talk about the build up to NBL24 while looking back on the NBL1 seasons around the country, the Boomers at the World Cup and the retirement announcement of Cody Ellis.

It's a jam packed show as Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle returns ahead of #NBL24 and co-hosts Chris Pike and Cody Ellis gear up for the NBL season looking at the new arrivals, players returning, those changing clubs, those departing and how the teams are shaping up.

We then get into the discussion about the retirement announcement of co-host Cody Ellis after playing 127 NBL games at the Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks, 112 at college with the Saint Louis Billikens, and 211 in SBL/NBL1 West at the Warwick Senators.

Cody reflects on his journey growing up the son of Perth Wildcats legend Mike Ellis and why he chose basketball in the end, why selecting Saint Louis as his college was the best decision he ever made, and looks back on all the good and bad aspects of his 20-plus years of life dedicated to the game.

We then look back on the NBL1 seasons around the country focusing on the NBL1 West season that Cody Ellis and his Warwick Senators were part of. We discuss Liam Hunt and the Geraldton Buccaneers winning the NBL1 West championship and discuss the merits of the NBL1 National Finals.

We also take a look at the Boomers campaign at the FIBA World Cup and what changes might be needed ahead of the Paris Olympic Games to get back in the medal hunt and finish off with a shoutout to Corey 'Homicide' Williams and wish him the best in his cancer battle.

All made possible thanks to the support of Hoops Heaven (www.hoopsheaven.com.au).
