Do you have a vision for what you want your family life to be like? Do you have a vision for what you want your child to be like? We can just do parenting off the cuff or we can ask these important questions. Why are you parenting - or what are you parenting towards? I’m not talking about your kids career choices, or their personality but rather the values that they build their life on - do you know what you want that aspect to look like? Often parents say - I want my child to be honest, a hard worker, kind to people, I want them to look after the environment, to manage their money well, to be happy in their own skin. Each one of those things reflects something we (as a parent) hold as important and when we can articulate them as our goal or vision we can then intentionally teach those things to our kids and help them grow in those areas. But how do we do that in our busy life? I’ve got three ways I want to share with you today.
