This Sunday Pastor Lynn preaches the message on "The Challenge of Blessing." Stories in scripture reveal that when God's children were blessed, they were challenged to remain faithful to Him in every area of their lives. What is it about humans that causes us to become distracted, distanced, or deceived so that we make our blessings the #1 priority in our lives rather than our Lord?
As His children we are people of a new covenant--a covenant of Jesus' blood that was poured out for us. We have been redeemed by Jesus, that means we have been bought back out of slavery, and therefore 100% of who we are belongs to Jesus! We are never to allow the blessings of our lives to distract us from a close, obedient, and surrendered relationship with Christ. He is to remain #1 in everything!
This Sunday is a challenging word, but one that will stoke the fire of passion for your first love, Jesus Christ!
