Jesus is the life (zoe) and the light of the world, and as we put our faith in Him for salvation, we receive His life and light into our lives. No matter how dark things get in our lives or this world we live in, we have abundant life in Him.
John 1:4-5... 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
