On the night of Sunday, February 23 of 2020 into Monday February 24, 42-year-old Jorge Torres Jr., slowly died as he struggled to breathe inside a zipped suitcase. His girlfriend, 42-year-old Sarah Boone videotaped Jorge as he cried out for her to unzip the suitcase because he could not breathe. Boone went upstairs and fell asleep. In the morning, Sarah found Jorge unresponsive in the suitcase. However, she didn't dial 911 until 1:01 pm. Boone was arrested on February 25, 2020, and charged with second-degree ______. For the past four years, she's been plotting her defense strategy for a trial that is to begin tomorrow. During that period, she's gone through eight attorneys. They either quite or were fired.
Today in court, Sarah's ninth lawyer argued that she should be able to use the self-defense strategy and __________spouse syndrome defense to explain her actions, which led to Jorge's death.
Allow me to break it all down for you with a little humor to lighten the mood.
Love,
T
