Seth Jarvis scored shorthanded, Jaccob Slavin put on a clinic, and the Moose got loose for his first goal with the Hurricanes. The Canes defeated Chicago, 3-2. Mikko Rantanen's first goal with his new team gave Carolina a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd period.
