Ep. 280: Curating your social media, the beauty of makeup at the movies and building a new identity with OG beauty YouTuber Sam Chapman, formerly of Pixiwoo
Manage episode 449050021 series 2773053
This week I’m chatting to a very special guest; makeup artist Sam Chapman. Some of you will definitely know Sam as one half of the truly iconic beauty Youtuber duo Pixiwoo. Alongside her sister Nicola, Sam created makeup tutorials that gained them a huge following and also resulted in them creating the brilliant makeup brush range, Real Techniques.
In 2020 Sam retired from the beauty community but recently she made a quiet return to YouTube.
In this episode Sam shares on everything she learned from being so active on YouTube, to why she walked away and why she's loving what she creates today.
We cover so much in this chat from why it's so important to curate the social media that you want to see to how to re-envision yourself as a solo creator after being one half of an extremely successful creative and business duo.
I would love to know what you think of this one, so don't forget to let me know in the DMs over on Instagram @charisse_kenion, or find me on Threads at @charisse_kenion.
